Weekly Photo Challenge: Everyday Life

I live in a rural area surrounded by fields growing crops such as cotton, corn, soybean, sugar cane, and milo. Everyday life for me is encountering farm equipment on the road and watching the landscape change as the growing season changes. Many farmers in my area were in a panic trying to get their cotton picked prior to Hurricane Isaac; it was projected to come straight our way with high winds and lots of rain. Well, Isaac turned direction and diminished and those farmers whose cotton was not quite ready to be picked were spared. Now the fruits of their labor are ready to be harvested.

  1. Lovely example for this week’s theme! I am from NC and accustomed to seeing cotton fields along the side of the road. Thanks for sharing. : )

Thanks. It is a beautiful sight. NC is one of my favorite places for motorcyce riding.
