Living in central Louisiana, snow is usually foreign. But we had two years in a row with multiple snow days and one time it even stayed on the ground for more than 24 hours. Larry had fun sending me a message in the snow!

Weekly Photo Challenge: Silhouette
This week the Photo Challenge is Silhouette. Larry and his traveling buddy, Mikhail, in silhouette.
Weekly Photo Challenge: BIG
I picked photos of three of my friends from a Halloween party to showcase this week’s theme of BIG. A good time was had by all!
Weekly Photo Challenge: Happy
HAPPY is all the wonderful food in Tuscany. My sister Carol got me in the habit of taking photos of the meals we ate while on our family vacation there. I missed a few opportunities because I forgot the photo-op and had already had a taste. The philosophy of “farm to table” is very apparent in this region of Italy. We drank wine that was from a vineyard a few miles from our villa and had olive oil extracted from the olive groves on the property. BTW: We had gelato at least once daily, sometimes twice…it is highly addictive!
Weekly Photo Challenge: Mine
The challenge this week really got me to think about what is mine – “a place, object, or view that’s entirely yours, or you’re a bit selfish or possessive about.”
I consider this large outdoor chair mine. I can spread out on it propped up with pillows and read a book or magazine. I like to sit and watch the sunrise or the sunset, drinking a cup of coffee or a glass of wine, whatever the case may be. I may be in the sun or the shade. I can cuddle up with a blanket and just watch the birds or other animals that may wander into the yard, such as squirrels or bunnies.
Although it is mine, I can share it as shown in this photo with my son.
